Billerica, MA, - August 5th, 2007 - Objet Geometries Ltd., www.2objet.com
the world leader in ultra-thin layer photopolymer jetting, today
announced it will participate in the upcoming SIGGRAPH 2007 Conference
at the San Diego Convention Center, August 7-9th (Booth #1828). Objet
will demonstrate its Eden260™ 3-Dimensional Printing System, enabling
SIGGRAPH users to see first-hand how the system quickly and easily
turns any 3D file into high-quality, highly accurate 3D models of their
designs.
SIGGRAPH 2007 www.siggraph.org;
the annual event where digital innovators, creative researchers,
award-winning producers, provocative artists, energetic executives, and
adventurous engineers; come together to explore the wide world of 3D
applications. From software, to computer graphics to 3D printing and
modeling; the SIGGRAPH community gathers in San Diego, CA to explore
the products, systems, techniques, ideas, and inspiration that are
creating the next generation of computer graphics and interactive
techniques.
Objet will feature the Eden260
3D printer along with a variety models that have been created using
Objet’s FullCure® family of photopolymer materials which enable Objet
users to create highly accurate, finely detailed 3-dimensional models
and parts for a wide range of applications including; toys, automotive,
medical, electronics, sporting and consumer goods. “Objet is excited
to be able to demonstrate the capabilities of the Eden260 to the
visitors of the SIGGRAPH 07 conference” stated Frank Marangell, Objet
America President. "The Objet Eden 3-D printers are a perfect fit for
the attendees of SIGGRAPH that demand the accuracy, surface finish and
feature detail provided in all Objet Eden 3D printers".
The
computer graphics industry is an excellent vertical market for Objet to
be involved in as well. With so many applications in the 3D computer
graphics market, it opens up another door of opportunity for Objet and
creative designers. With Objet’s patented Polyjet technology that
enables a model to be printed in such fine detail, down to 16 microns,
designers have the ability to create a model with accurate detail, thin
walls and a smooth finish which enables a 3D design to come to fruition
in their hands.
About the Eden260 Printer
The
cost effective, small-footprint Eden260™ rapid prototyping and
3-dimensional printing system is the ideal solution to compress your
product design-to-manufacturing cycle. Based on Objet’s innovative
PolyJet™ technology, Eden260 provides a complete solution for the
accurate building of any geometry – easily, quickly and cleanly. Models
produced on the Eden260 are smooth and durable, with fine details and
an outstanding surface finish. The build tray size is 10.2” x 10.2” x
7.9” and the resin material supported are FullCure®720, VeroWhite,
VeroBlack and VeroBlue along with the FullCure®705 support material. About Objet Geometries, Ltd.
